I love poetry, and writing. I see that so many of you can write stories. Well most of my writing is done in poetry form. I don't usually share it, but here is one of my favorites.

Sometimes being alone
is better than being surrounded,
engulfed by beings,
by beings who are self-centered.
You are a moon orbiting
the last planet
in the galaxy.
So far from the sun,
life becomes so dark.
The air is gas,
toxic with sadness.
Colors are simply black.
Dark and grey, that is all you feel.
What would life be like
if you could be the sun?
To be bigger,
better,
closer,
brighter?
If you could just be a planet
and not some pointless moon
orbiting around.
Vaguely catching brightness,
but only keeping it for a little while.
