Idk what this is supposed to be. Actually I do. It’s a place where I’m going to write my ideas for video games, because I want to design them when I’m older. I have this one idea right now, a game I think I’ll call Firefly or something like that. I would call it Firefly because if you go outside on a summer night, there are fireflies all around, but they have no idea each other exist, until one lights up. Then the fireflies near that one light up, and it becomes a ripple effect, until you see the fireflies lighting up all over the place. This idea sets up the plan I have for a map. The player would start at a center point, and work their way outwards on the map, like the fireflies start at one point and ripple outwards. Now let’s get more into depth on the mechanics or whatever of the game. I kind of want to incorporate something with colors. For example, the world would start out as monochrome; just gray and white. The player would have to locate a dungeon or something similar in the area surrounding them. Inside the dungeon, there would be two important items. One would be a paintbrush of a certain color, and another would be a drawing of the boss. The player would have to find the boss’s door, and use the paintbrush to copy the drawing onto it. The specific paintbrush the player has would use one main attack/ability specific to that color of paintbrush. Once the player is done with a dungeon, they return to the area and discover that everything has color now. They then have to find the door that matches the color of their new paintbrush, which will open and lead them into a new area, where they must repeat their actions. Of course this would get repetitive, and I’m still thinking of how to fix that, but oh well. I just thought of most of this last night, so xD Anyways, the goal is to basically give color to the entire world. I think of it as having an even deeper meaning than that… Something like going against the dullness of the crowd and seeing how beautiful your own ideas are?
I guess I’m telling you to share this idea? Get opinions? Idk even ._.
